1 Corinthians 2

 When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.

Community Makeover is an annual event sponsored by Engage Atlanta. In 2008, the first year for the Community Makeover, 8 Churches joined together and got into the community to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. In 2009 over 35 Churches united completing over 350 projects in and around Paulding and Cobb Counties. 1Cor members have participated in this event every year in various roles. From planning and logistics to swinging hammers and painting houses, it is an awesome experience to witness multiple races, religions, backgrounds and personalities come together and serve just the way we are called to do…loving each other.
